Education Week | May 22, 2025, 2-3 PM EDT

Teachers spend up to 29 hours a week doing nonteaching tasks: writing emails, grading, finding classroom resources, and carrying out other administrative work. They also have high stress levels and are at risk for burnout. Can artificial intelligence help ease both those problems?

While educators caution that AI will never replace a teacher’s professional expertise, many argue that it can take the more mundane, rote job duties off teachers’ plates—reshaping a notoriously high-stress job. At the same time, educators are also finding ways to integrate AI into instruction. Join K-12 leaders, educators and experts to explore how AI technology is—and is not—improving K-12 teaching and learning.

Attendees will:

  • Gain insights on how teachers can use AI tools to save time and make their jobs easier
  • Get ideas for how to integrate AI into instruction, especially math instruction
  • See examples of how teachers are using AI to manage their classrooms and better engage students
  • Discuss the upsides and downsides of the expanding use of AI in K-12 education
